Samsung To Launch “Fan Edition” Of Flagship Galaxy S Smartphone Soon?

Samsung Galaxy S23 FE 5G To Launch Sooner Than Its Predecessor?

The Fan Edition of the Samsung Galaxy S series smartphones has been quite popular among Samsung loyalists. The FE series was usually priced lower than the Samsung Galaxy S series smartphones but retained most of the specifications and features.

For reasons best known to Samsung, the company skipped the Samsung Galaxy S22 FE smartphone, which could have been the true successor of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE 5G. However, the upcoming FE smartphone could launch sooner than the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G launched in January of last year. If Samsung would have remained loyal to the timeline, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE 5G would launch in January 2024. However, that doesn't seem to be the case.

The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event is just a few days away. It is possible that the South Korean tech giant could announce the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5. The company may hold a special event for the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE 5G.

How Will Samsung Galaxy S23 FE 5G Differ From The Galaxy S23 Series?

These Samsung Galaxy S FE series smartphones had strategic and barely noticeable or subtle compromises. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 FE 5G too could follow this pattern.

Multiple variants of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE have surfaced all over the internet. First, the Exynos version of the Galaxy S23 FE was spotted in Geekbench's database. Its Snapdragon version appeared last week, and this week, the Canadian version surfaced on Geekbench.

Based on the model numbers, it appears Samsung is readying three variants of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE 5G: SM-S711W, SM-S711U1, and SM-S711B. All listings have confirmed the smartphone will have a variant with 8GB RAM.

Specifically speaking, Samsung could have embedded its own Exynos 2200 SoC in the variant of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE 5G meant for global markets. The variant with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 could be headed to the US and Canada. It is possible that Samsung could have embedded the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC in the third variant that may launch in India.

All three variants of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE 5G would obviously run the latest Android 13 OS with a custom layer of One UI 5.1.1. Some reports suggest Samsung has embedded a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz variable refresh rate in the smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE 5G is tipped to have a 32MP selfie camera, and a triple camera setup on the back, headlined by a 50MP primary camera, which could be accompanied by a 12MP ultrawide camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera. It is possible that Samsung may embed a 5000mAh battery inside the Galaxy S23 FE 5G.
