Apple iOS 18.3.2, iPadOS 18.3.2 Updates Released Addressing Important Security Vulnerability: How to Install?
Apple has released iOS 18.3.2 and iPadOS 18.3.2 for iPhones and iPads, addressing a significant security vulnerability. This update fixes an exploit that was previously patched in version 17.2, which allowed malicious web content to escape the Web Content sandbox. Apple noted this vulnerability was used in a "sophisticated attack against specific targeted individuals," making it crucial to install the update promptly.
Security Patch Details
The exploit targeted by this patch could enable harmful web content to bypass security measures. Apple emphasised the severity of this issue, highlighting its use in advanced attacks on particular individuals. Users are strongly advised to update their devices immediately to protect against potential threats.

Upon installing the update, users should be aware that Apple Intelligence will automatically reactivate, even if it was previously disabled. This feature is re-enabled with every update, requiring manual deactivation each time if users prefer not to use it.
Managing Apple Intelligence
After updating, a splash screen promoting Apple Intelligence appears, offering only a "Continue" option. Tapping this is mandatory to proceed with device usage, which reactivates Apple Intelligence. To disable it again, navigate to Settings > Apple Intelligence and toggle it off.
Disabling Apple Intelligence can free up as much as 7GB of storage space on your device by removing local AI models. This is beneficial for users who prefer not to utilise Apple's AI features or need additional storage capacity.
This latest update underscores the importance of staying current with software updates for enhanced security and performance. Users are encouraged to regularly check for updates and apply them promptly to safeguard their devices from emerging threats.
