Apple WWDC 2025 Event Starts on June 9: iOS 19, iPadOS 19, VisionOS Update, and More
Apple has announced the dates for its WWDC 2025 conference, which will take place from June 9th to June 13th. As in previous years, the event will be available for live streaming via the Apple Developer app and website. Additionally, there will be a special in-person event at Apple's campus in Cupertino, California.
Apple plans to introduce a VisionOS-inspired software update across iOS, macOS, and iPadOS. This update will feature Circular App Icons, Translucent Panels, and enhanced 3D Depth and Shadows. However, several Siri features initially intended for iOS 19 are now postponed to iOS 19.4, expected in spring 2026.

Swift Student Challenge 2025
The Swift Student Challenge 2025 offers student developers a chance to demonstrate their coding skills by creating Swift playgrounds. On March 27, applicants will learn their status. Winners can apply for the special event at Apple Park. Fifty Distinguished Winners will receive an invitation to Cupertino for a three-day experience.
For iPadOS 19, Apple is reportedly dropping support for the iPad (7th generation). The minimum requirement is now said to be the A12 chip. This change aligns with Apple's ongoing efforts to optimise performance on newer devices.
