Apple WWDC 2026: What to Expect

The spotlight at WWDC 2026 is expected to be firmly on Apple's next-generation software platforms. The company is likely to unveil the latest versions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, visionOS, and tvOS, which are expected to arrive as iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and corresponding platform updates.

Artificial intelligence is also expected to play a major role during this year's keynote. Apple is reportedly preparing significant upgrades for Siri and Apple Intelligence as it looks to strengthen its AI ecosystem and compete more aggressively with offerings from Google and Samsung. Industry watchers will be keen to see whether Apple finally delivers the advanced Siri capabilities first teased at WWDC 2024.

Beyond consumer-facing announcements, Apple will host more than 100 technical sessions throughout the week, along with group labs and one-on-one consultations with Apple engineers and designers. Developers will gain access to new frameworks, tools, and documentation aimed at helping them build apps for Apple's evolving ecosystem.

Apple will also welcome winners of the Swift Student Challenge to Apple Park for a special in-person experience, while 50 Distinguished Winners will receive an extended three-day visit to Cupertino as part of the company's annual developer outreach program.

With software, AI, and developer tools all expected to take center stage, WWDC 2026 could be one of Apple's most important developer conferences in recent years.
