Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer is determined to change fortunes for the company, after announcing that Yahoo had acquired Tumblr, the microblogging platform for 1.1 billion USD, Marissa has now announced that Flickr - the image and video hosting website has been updated. With an all new User Interface that has quite the resemblance to Microsoft's Metro UI.

Flickr now offers a whole terabyte for storing photos and videos. Also it will support High resolution images and also comes with a new design that focuses on providing image centric experience. The image/video hosting website has added Activity Feed, which allows you to access your friend's recent uploads and your own posts, right on your homepage.

Speaking of image-centric experience, the layout for photostream has been rebuilt to make bring more visual appeal, further, Flickr has also added an all new 'slideshow mode' feature. With the new update the website now supports full 3 minutes per video of 1080p HD quality. The Flickr app for Android has also been updated with new features. You can download the latest version of the app on Google Play Store.
