Gmail Compose Box Gets Updated with New and Improved Features

In a recent development, Google has confirmed in its blog post that Gmail's Compose box has been redesigned to improve the usability for the users. Google product manger stated in an official statement, "How many times have you been writing an email and had to reference something in another message? Saving a draft, opening the old email, and then reopening your draft wastes valuable minutes.

The new compose pops up in a window, just like chats (only larger)," said product manager Phil Sharp. "This makes it easy to reference any other emails without ever having to close your draft. You can even do a search or keep an eye on new mail as it comes in. And because the compose window works the same way as chats, you can write multiple messages at once and minimize a message to finish it later."

"The new compose is designed to let you focus on what's important: your message," he added. "The controls are still there when you need them but get out of the way when you don't. We've even added some new features like the ability to easily insert inline images and have more to come."

Google also added certain additional options with the compose feature by which emails can be organized in a better way. Users can find composing mails to be a lot quicker than ever before as they can open and compose their mails with the easiness of opening a chat window.

With the new enhancement, user can check with the older mails even while the compose page is kept opened. This gives the flexibility for users to always check for important new emails, even in the midst of composing emails. With the new changes, all of the options are accessible at ease but won't create any hindrance when not needed.

The contact's profile picture will be shown while composing messages so that users can make sure that they have added the right person. New address chips can easily be switched between to, cc and bcc with the aid of drag and drop option.

Google has made notable improvements to Gmail's iOS and android version very recently. As per reports, Google is making these convenient changes to make sure that the Gmail users are not switching over to Outlook with the flexible options that were put forward by Microsoft on their app.
