Apart from the rumors and gossips pertaining to the Google's Nexus devices (tablet and smartphone) that have been blowing in the web, the other reason why the software giant's name comes up to the headlines frequently is the apps and software update it releases on a regular basis.

Now the company, which recently updated its Google+ app for Android devices with a number of features to the Photos section, has also released a new version of the Hangouts app for iOS. This time the version of the app is pretty much aligned to the design of Apple's iOS 7 platform. However, it is compatible with all the iOS devices. So you could possible call it a re-designed version of the Hangouts app especially built for the iOS users.

The update bumps the app to version 2.0 on iOS. The revamped version of the Hangouts app now looks more united with the design of the iOS 7 User Interface. In other words the app has now turned to be a flatter and layered one. Moreover, now the app features a full iPad support. Also the new added feature you will find in the app is the addition of emoticon stickers.

Now the iOS users can also send their current location via the Hangouts app. Also a video messaging feature might interest users much more. Although the app already has a video chatting feature, but recording and sending videos is a whole new thing that the app brings to the iOS devices. Google has not made the video messaging feature available in Android as yet but we expect the feature soon.
