Google Play Books app for android have been updated to version 2.8.61. Google did make it clear that it is looking to enhance user experience with it's mobile operating system at Google I/O. This is definitely a step towards that, as the update brings support for reading your own PDF or EPUB files. You will be able upload the files through website play.google.com/books/uploads and read them on all your devices.

Also, app introduces a redesigned library, table of contents view and the recommendation page at the end of books.

Now, you will get a conformation dialog that prevents you from accidentally un-downloading a book.

Apart from these changes Google has implemented several stability and performance changes.
