Google Search Android App Updated with Google Now Widget and Cards

    Google Search app is now updated with some improvements adding to the enriched functionality of the app. The new update includes new Google Now cards and also a Google Now widget. Users can access the latest update right from the Google Play store or from the Android handset. The new update is meant particularly for Android Jelly Bean platform and other android versions cannot make the best use out of it.

    Google Now with updated functionality helps users in knowing about the movie ratings and also option by which movie passes can be accessed from Fandango. There is also provision to get info on real estate listing and a lot more. Some improvements are also included within the existing cards where the mode of transport can be specified like whether it is by car, walking or Public Transit etc. Quick search over the web, voice search capability and personalized results on behalf of location are the highlights of the app.

    This is the first ever move from Google to introduce a Google Now widget. These widgets can be included within the home screen of the device itself and all important information can be accessed on the go. Google has mentioned in the blog post that they assured their consumers that there would be more improvements on the app when it was launched earlier by last summer. After the launch, a lot of improvements have been put forward to the app and the latest update is the fourth one since its launch.
