    The latest iteration of Hello Friends application is available for Windows Phone devices called version 4.0. The upgrade of the application brings along with it customizable margin sizes and three new Color effects including a high contrast mode. The update also brings along with it several minor improvements to the app as well as a bug fix for the custom contact selection.

    Hello Friends is a very popular and useful application on Windows Phone which allows users to add the photos of their contacts in the phone to lockscreen. It can be used to create a collage of photos that can be used on the Live Tile of People Hub.

    The update has been released after the developer has taken into account several user feedbacks featuring more functionality and options for customizing. The new version also has add-ons which on combining with collage add more content to the lockscreen. Other lockscreen apps may have extras that can be added to it.

    The advantage of Hello Friends is that everything is available in a single app itself. The add-ons available with this update are weather and battery. Weather, with the help of GPS, gives information 4regarduing current location. The status of the battery can be known with the help of battery add-on.

    The transparency of these add-ons can also be configured. The developers are planning to roll out more options for customization for the app so that users do not have to rely on multiple apps for customizing the lockscreen app.

    Hello Friends 4.0 priced at $1.29 (Rs. 69 approx.) is available for download at the Windows Phone Store. The app functions with Windows Phone 7.5 and Windows Phone 8.
