While the general election in India has already started, but how exactly technology is playing a big role is something not everyone can realize. Technology, meaning the mobile phones and apps, has in fact been bringing high level of awareness among the users in this year's elections. Recently Hike messenger app just got updated with a new stickers which comes as a cartoon stickers of the politicians like Rahuil Gandhi, Narendra Modi and others.
On the other hand, today Facebook has also made a political addition to its mobile app. Not literally political but it has now added "I'm a Voter" button in the app. Thus the Lok Sabha Elections 2014 will surely become socially very audible.

Through the new button, Indian users will see a reminder message about voting on the polling day depending on one's location at the the top of their New Feed. In fact, the "I'm a Voter" button will be placed just next to the reminder message. Both these features will be available on Facebook mobile apps on polling day.
Once the users above 18 years of age click the "I'm a Voter" button, the status will be published automatically on their timeline.
This is not the first time Facebook has showed interest in upgrading the networking site with new political features but in the past we have also seen the social giant coming up with feature like "Register to Vote", Election Tracker App and Talks Live in March.
