Redesigned Foursquare App for Windows Phone 8 Adds Support to Live Tiles and More

Location Based Social Network, Foursquare has unveiled it's new version of the app for the Windows Phone 8 platform. foursquare has worked closely with Nokia and Microsoft bring the latest iteration to the app, according to a blog post.

The app which has more then 33 million users is said to come with all new features, each tailored for the Metro UI. Maps, insider tips, trending places are just some of the things offered by the app. Further more, Foursquare for Windows Phone 8 is said to be specially optimized for Nokia's new Lumia phones. "Some of the Lumia models even integrate Foursquare data into their augmented reality experience," read the post. In other words the app should provide a more immersive user experience for Lumia handset users. If you own a Nokia Lumia Windows Phone 8 device, you should be able to avail on the app in the Nokia collection on the Windows Phone store.

If you are a Windows Phone 7 user, you need not be disappointed, because Foursquare says an updated version app, carrying a similar features, will be made available for WP7 in the coming weeks.
