Skype app For iOS updated: Now Allows Unlimited Video Messages For Free

Skype app for ios has been updated to version 4.9. Users can now send unlimited number of Video messages for free. The app will allow you to record a video message for upto 3 minutes and send it people in your contact list, if they are off-line. The recipient will be able to watch the video the next time he/she logs in to skype.

The update also brings stability improvements to Audio and video calls, makes sharing photos more reliable, Improved accessibility for video messaging and other improvements and bug fixes.

The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. It requires iOS 5.0 or later and is optimized for iPhone 5. You can download the lattest version of skype for free on App Store.

The video message was in preview mode to now and was a part of Skype Premium. The feature which was only available to users in the US and UK offered 20 free messages after which a subscription fee of $4.99 had to be paid to use the service.
