Sony’s Socialife News App Now Available for All Android Phones
Japanese smartphone maker Sony, which is quite popular because of its Xperia range of devices, has now now made the Socialife app available for other Android Smartphones. The app was earlier exclusive only to the Xperia range of smartphones for the coapmny.
The Japanese manufacturer has released the app on Google Play for all Android smartphones but the app will only run on devices running on 4.1 version or higher. According to the company, the app crossed 10 million downloads recently, which now has over 13 million downloads. However, in tablets it has not been out which means that it is still exclusive for the Xperia tablet.

The app functions to aggregate news, Facebook posts, Tweets and YouTube videos for easy viewing, all at one place. It is very similar to Flipboard or Google Newsstand. However, the Sony's proprietary app also offers news from affiliated news partners (250 news organizations) in a range of areas, including general news, entertainment, sports and IT, and you can also add RSS feeds manually. Obviously you also get to add a widget to the homescreen.
