A recent official blog from Marissa Mayer, CEO of yahoo, was released which stated that improvements are to be made for yahoo mail on all platforms which includes web, iPhones/iPod touch, Windows 8 and Android. The new make over focuses on speed and comfort to use. The new design will help users check their mails easily and it uses better navigation systems.
The improvement focuses on the mails received by the recipient. With email being the easiest means of communication today, any changes to facilitate easier and more efficient use of it are always welcome.
The improvements are made for iOS devices too. The mail can now be checked with a single tap. Viewing notifications has never been easier. The messages in the inbox can be scanned quickly and continuously monitored. The app completes the email addresses automatically and helps the user to swipe the messages left and right and also mark them, flag or delete.
The messages can also be multi-selected to organize the messages in the inbox faster. Uploading of photos may become simpler with this design. The app was also redesigned for android devices.
The android version is renamed as" Y! Mail". This is a move to ensure that the app is not missed by the user. The size of iOS app is about 3.9 MB. The improved made for android devices also include better battery-performance, has SSL turned on by default, push notifications, increased stability etc.
