Google Maps is one of the biggest successes of Google. There are more than one billion users of this app all over the world. The platform is growing constantly and is tested with new features. Android Police have excavated some of these features in an apk teardown of the Google Maps version 9.71 beta.
We do not know when these features will arrive to your handsets but there is a possibility for these to come soon. Take a look at these Google Maps features we can see later from here. There are many other features also in the app.
Screenshot button instead of share button
Google Maps is found to have a screenshot button instead of the location share button. It has started showing up for a few users. The function of the screenshot button is not known but it could be similar to the location share button seen now on Google Maps.
Battery status while sharing location
When sharing your location with someone else, Google Maps will show the battery status of your handset to the other person. This is to let the person know how long you will stay in touch. This will be useful if your device's battery level is low as the other person can understand the situation.
Set shortcuts to favorite stations
Google Maps will let you set shortcuts or preferred routes to your favorite metro stations. These shortcuts or routes may be visible to the other commuters who are using the same metro station and will be useful for them too.
Notification for arrival
Google Maps has the option to suggest the navigation routes via notifications The update can give users the notification, inform them about the arrival and also the exact time it might take for the arrival. This might be useful just like the other features.
Sharing trips with other users
The apk teardown of the Google Maps app has revealed that it will include a feature where users can share their trips with others. It is possible to do so if you are on your way to your destination or you have already reached the destination.
