The app is designed for creators who shoot and publish directly from their phones, with features such as a multi-track timeline, frame-accurate editing, audio enhancement, effects, transitions and AI-powered tools.

The app is free to download and works on devices running Android 13 or later with at least 5GB of RAM. Here's how to get started with Adobe Premiere mobile and use its key features.

How to Start Editing a Video in Adobe Premiere on Android

First, download Adobe Premiere from the Google Play Store and open the app on your Android phone. You can start using the basic editing tools without being forced to sign in, and Adobe says the free version does not add advertisements, upgrade prompts or watermarks to exported videos.

Once you are ready to start a project, import the video clips, photos or audio files you want to use. You can work with footage already stored on your phone and combine multiple media files within the same project.

After importing your footage, place the clips on the multi-track timeline. This lets you arrange different video and audio elements independently, making it easier to build more complex edits.

How to Cut and Trim Videos

Select a video clip on the timeline and move the playhead to the point where you want to make a cut. Premiere mobile supports frame-accurate editing, allowing you to trim footage precisely and remove unwanted sections.

This is particularly useful for removing pauses from interviews, tightening tutorials or matching cuts to music.

How to Add Music and Improve Audio

You can add your own music and audio files or use available Adobe Stock creative assets. The app can also extract audio from existing video clips.
