Install the Freecharge App

To send/receive money via WhatsApp you'll have to first install the Freecharge app from the Google Play Store and signup for Freecharge using your mobile number.

Enable the FreeCharge on WhatsApp option

Next, click on the 'More' option located at the bottom right of your screen. Under Actions, you'll see 'FreeCharge on WhatsApp' option, click on it, at the bottom of your screen you'll see an Enable button, tap on it and grant the accessibility permissions to the app.

Start sending money on WhatsApp

With this, the setup process comes to an end. Now all you have to do is send money using WhatsApp. To do this, open WhatsApp and select a contact to send money.

Enter the Amount

Do make a note that to send money you have to send the message in the following format only.

Money followed by FC (no spaces in between). For example, if you intend to send Rs. 500, write the message as '500FC', for Rs. 100 write it as '100FC'.

While sending the message you'll see the Freecharge icon above the send icon in WhatsApp, click on it and you're done.
