Meta Adds WhatsApp Verified Businesses, Flows, UPI Apps, And Credit | Debit Card Payments
WhatsApp is fast becoming a hub for personal, social, and business interactions. The instant messaging platform will now offer "WhatsApp Verified" badges to businesses in addition to "Flows".
Meta has now added the ability to pay using Credit Cards, in addition to UPI payments. Let's look at the new features and how app users and businesses can benefit from them.

WhatsApp Now Supports Debit | Credit Cards, UPI Apps For Instant Payments
WhatsApp now supports payment via UPI apps, debit and credit cards, and more financial instruments from within the app for users in India. The instant messaging platform has partnered with RazorPay and PayU in India to support payment using UPI apps, and debit and credit cards, among other payment methods, confirmed a blog post from the platform:
"We're making it easier to complete a purchase directly in the chat. Starting today, people in India can add items to their cart and send a payment using the method of their choice from all supported UPI apps, debit and credit cards, and more."

WhatsApp had added the ability to pay using UPI way back in 2020. It had partnered directly with the National Payments Corporation of India (NCPI), the creator of the UPI system.
WhatsApp for Android as well as iOS supports UPI, which means users can send money on the app to anyone using any UPI-supported app. With the addition of debit and credit cards, WhatsApp now supports nearly all mainstream digital payment methods.
WhatsApp Verified Badges And "Flows" For Business
Businesses can now get 'Meta Verified'. They only need to "demonstrate their authenticity to Meta".
Essentially, businesses can receive a "Verified" badge from Meta. Needless to mention, this could help businesses build trust with their customers.
Additionally, Meta Verified businesses will also be eligible for premium features such as the ability to create a custom WhatsApp page. This page should be easily discoverable during a web search. Verified businesses also get multi-device support.

WhatsApp will begin testing Meta Verified soon. However, the initial beneficiaries will be those businesses that have been using the WhatsApp Business app.
The WhatsApp "Flows" feature promises to provide faster chat experiences. Businesses can create rich menus, customizable forms, and more using this feature.
WhatsApp Flows can help customers quickly choose their preferred services such as booking a train seat, ordering a meal, or making an appointment, within the WhatsApp app.
