Netflix Introduces YouTube Like Feature, Users Can Watch Favorite Movies, Shows Offline: Here's How

Netflix rolls out new offline video viewing feature, like that of YouTube, here's how it works.

Well, your favorite Netflix has finally rolled out the most awaited "Offline Viewing" feature onboard like that of YouTube for the iOS and Android App users.

Introducing similar YouTube like offline viewing feature, Netflix now allows its Android and iOS users to watch their favorite series, music or any other video streaming even when not connected to the internet.

However, Netflix has selected a list of movies and television shows that the users can download and view offline using the official App. Well, comparing with YouTube's offline viewing feature, Netflix's restriction to view videos can surely act as a barrier for the users, which isn't great news for the company.

Here's how Android and the iOS users can watch their favorite videos offline by following these simple steps.

#1 Update the Netflix Mobile App

To avail the new feature on Netflix, the user can simply update their app to Android and iOS smartphone first and open the app.

#2 Chose the Preferred Video

After opening the app, sign up with your account, all you can do now is first select the video that you wish to watch it, and go down to the description option of the video, right below.

#3 Click on the Available for Download Option

Netflix has come up with this option called "Available for Download", likewise YouTube, within the app's menu in the description section of the video, and just in case if there's no such option available for the video you wish to watch, well then that means its not included in the list of the offline video.

Tapping on the download option available in the description section will let the user download the video, ensure to have a working internet at this point.

#4 Watch the Video Offline

After downloading the file, the user can simply got to the My Download section and locate the file and watch the video, even when the internet connection is turned off.

Available Offline Videos on Netflix As of Now

Although Netflix offers this offline service for just limited videos including Netflix's own shows like Narcos, House Of Cards, Stranger Things, Orange is The New Black, and other shows like Breaking Bad, Dexter and Dr House and movies, Her, Moneyball and more.

However, there the company is going to extend this service and add more and more videos in the offline viewing section.
