Reliance Jio vs Airtel Fight Continues: Updated MyAirtel App Brings New Features
The advent of the Reliance Jio service has created ruffles in the telecom segment in India with the cheap and promotional tariff plans and offers.
The fight between Reliance Jio and Airtel is a notable one as the latter is coming up with some or the other plans and announcements to make sure it is not left behind Jio in the race. Now, Airtel has relaunched the MyAirtel app with new features to give more facilities for the users.

The new and updated MyAirtel app has a new section called Airtel Apps and many other selfcare features. It is clear that Airtel aims to compete with Reliance Jio that has an ecosystem of apps on its own to offer digital content.

Get free calls for 50 minutes
The MyAirtel app was announced along with a one-time offer that will give 50 minutes of free voice calls within the Airtel network. Its the Airtel Dialer feature that offers the free Airtel to Airtel calling benefits.
Airtel Cloud gives 2 GB storage
Similar to the cloud storage space offered by Reliance Jio, Airtel is also offering 2 GB of free cloud storage and backup to the users of the updated MyAirtel app. This way, the Airtel users can backup documents, audio, video, contacts, photos, call history and more to the cloud storage space offered by the app.
Free scheduled upload feature is also there
The prepaid users can take advantage of the free scheduled upload feature for now. This feature will soon be made available for the postpaid users too in the coming days. The users will not be charged anything for the data that is consumed for uploading content to the Airtel Cloud at the night hours.
Its an app platform
The new MyAirtel app will include the Airtel Apps section that will include a slew of top applications in a single platform. This is a great addition to the already existing selfcare features. You can access applications inlcuidng Ditto TV without paying the subscription charges, Wynk Music, Hike Messenger, Juggernaut, Airtel Money, and Wynk Movies from this section of the MyAirtel app.
