WhatsApp: Top 7 Secret Features Coming in 2016
The Facebook-owned messaging service, WhatsApp which is reportedly used by one-seventh of the global population is constantly looking to add some new features to its app every year.

While, recently the seven-year-old messaging service already added call support, document sharing, audio file transfer features and more, now the biggest messaging application in the world is rumored to come up with more significant features to constantly sty ahead in competition against rivals including Snapchat, WeChat and others.
Video calling
Rumors are already rife, that WhatsApp will support video calling very soon. A recent report by AndroidPit, even leaked screenshots which they received from users on the beta version of WhatsApp for iOS.
Gif support
While, most of the messaging service application, including Facebook Messenger supports GIF service, most of the WhatsApp users are also waiting to get the same feature and if reports are to be believed, the app's GIF feature is almost on its way.
One of the folks at @WABetaInfo, which tracks changes to WhatsApp beta updates, recently noted that version 2.16.7.1 of the app will now autoplay GIF links and embed them directly into your conversations.
Share music
There was also a report circulating in the tech gossip world that WhatsApp for iOS will come up with various new features including music sharing.
One of the German tech website, Mackerkopf reported that WhatsApp is set to offer a host of new features for iOS includes support for music sharing, public groups and mentions.
Larger Emojis
The same the German tech website, Mackerkopf also reported that the popular app will also come up with more customized and larger emojis.
Voicemail
If rumors are to be believed, WhatsApp is also said to launch a voicemail feature soon that will allow users record and listen to a message before sending it.
This ways, it would be better than the traditional voicemail that never gave the users a change to edit their recordings before sending.
Call back
As per reports, WhatsApp is also working on an instant call back features, where a tap on the notification will return the call instantly.
Sharing zip files
One more feature that is rumored to be coming to WhatsApp in the next update is sharing ZIP files via attachment.
Reportedly, the app will allow users to share filed in different formats including PDF or word documents, combined as ZIP files to save data usage.
