Microsoft has launched the Office Lens apps for both Android and iOS this Thursday. Initially, this application was launched for the Window platform last year in March.

This Office Lens app, users can be able to capture and crop images of your work such as receipts, business card, white boards, sticky notes and you can share with others, make digital copies of documents and with the app's OCR text recognition capabilities, you can search for words and phrases within the images.

Microsoft Launches Office Lens App for iOS and Android

The captured image can be saved into Jpeg, Word, Powerpoint and PDF files. This app uses OneNote's cloud-based Optical Character-Recognition (OCR) software and the new OneNote Service API to make it a editable text.

  • - With Whiteboard mode, Office Lens trims and cleans up glare and shadows.
  • - With Document mode, Office Lens trims and colors images perfectly.
  • - Pictures can be saved to OneNote, OneDrive, or your preferred cloud storage.
  • - Choose to convert images to Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx), or PDF (.pdf) files that are automatically saved to OneDrive.
