Amazon India Adds Doctors to Cart, Now Lets You Book Consultations at Rs 299

Amazon has introduced a new service allowing users to book doctor appointments directly through its platform. This service, called Amazon Clinic, is now available in India and offers online consultations for over 50 medical conditions. Users can access this service via the Amazon app with a starting price of Rs 299.

The Amazon Clinic service is currently accessible only on Android devices but will soon be available for iOS and desktop users as well. Before scheduling an appointment, users must provide basic information such as their name, date of birth, gender, and contact number.

Depending on the medical condition, users can choose between online consultations or in-person clinic visits. However, those opting for physical visits may have limited options. The consultation fees vary based on the doctor's specialisation and range from Rs 299 to Rs 799.

Virtual consultations offer video, audio, and chat support with unlimited follow-ups for seven days at no extra cost. General physicians are available from 6 am to midnight daily except Sunday, while specialists can be consulted from 9 am to 9 pm.

Amazon Clinic features doctors specialising in dermatology, gynaecology, paediatrics, nutrition, and counselling. According to Amazon, all listed medical professionals are experienced in their respective fields.

Users have the flexibility to connect with doctors instantly if they are available or schedule an appointment for a later time. Here's how to get a doctor consultation on Amazon.

How to Get a Doctor Appointment from Amazon Clinic for Virtual Consultation

Step 1: To book an appointment using the Amazon clinic service, open the Amazon app on your Android phone and tap on the Menu. From there, navigate to the Pharmacy, Health, and Household tab to find the pharmacy section. Once there, the clinic option will be displayed at the top of the page.

Step 2: After selecting the clinic option, you'll need to choose the profile of the individual requiring the appointment, whether it's for an adult or a child. Here you have to fill patient's name, age, gender, and age to proceed with the booking process.

Step 3: Now select the specialist and your suitable day and time for the appointment. You'll also have to select whether the consultation will be via online or clinic visits.

Step 4: To confirm the appointment booking, review all the entered details carefully. Once everything is confirmed, proceed to make the payment using a card or UPI.
