Apple has announced the Swift Student Challenge for February 2025, inviting students to showcase their coding skills using Swift. This annual event allows participants to demonstrate creativity and gain practical experience with the programming language used by professionals to develop apps.
Applications for this challenge will be open for three weeks in February 2025. Students and educators can learn how to prepare and sign up for notifications on Apple's developer website. The competition aims to foster innovation, social impact, and inclusivity among young coders.

Apple Swift Student Challenge 2025 Details
The challenge will recognize 350 winners who excel in creativity, innovation, social impact, or inclusivity. Among these, 50 Distinguished Winners will receive additional recognition and an invitation to Apple's headquarters in Cupertino for a special three-day event during the summer of 2025.
All winners will also receive a one-year membership in the Apple Developer Program along with a special gift from Apple. This membership provides access to various resources that can help them further their app development skills.
Resources and Tutorials
To assist students in preparing for the competition, Apple is enhancing its Swift Coding Club resources. These updates aim to help students build a community and acquire skills necessary for the future in app development. The updated starter kit includes activities that allow students to explore Swift and SwiftUI more deeply while sharing experiences with peers.
Additionally, new Develop in Swift Tutorials are being introduced. These tutorials offer a strong foundation for those interested in starting a career in app development. They focus on using Swift, SwiftUI, and Xcode-Apple's integrated development environment-to create innovative apps across all Apple platforms.
