Amazon Adds Apple TV+ to Prime Video at ₹99/Month Subscription
Apple and Amazon are expanding their collaboration, with Apple TV+ now available as an add-on subscription inside the Prime Video app in India. The move, which went live today, allows Prime members in the country to access Apple's growing catalog of original programming directly through the Prime Video interface for ₹99 per month-the same price Apple charges via its standalone app.
The service is being rolled out not only in India but also across the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and select regions in Europe and Latin America, following a quiet debut on Prime Video in the U.S. last year.

Prime Video and Apple TV+ Under One Roof
The integration allows users to access Apple Originals-including series like Severance, The Morning Show, Ted Lasso, Silo, and Shrinking, as well as films like The Gorge and Wolfs-within the Prime Video app, without needing to install a separate Apple TV app.
The content is available as part of Amazon's add-on subscriptions portfolio, which includes over 25 third-party services such as Lionsgate Play, BBC Player, Crunchyroll, and Sony Pictures - Stream.
Kelly Day, VP of International at Prime Video, described the move as part of their effort to offer "a greater selection of TV shows and films, all in one app experience."
India Becomes a Focus Market for Streaming Expansion
This announcement closely follows Apple's broader push into India's digital entertainment space. Earlier this year, Apple released the Apple TV app for Android users and expanded its partnerships with Indian telecom providers like Airtel, bundling Apple TV+ and Apple Music into select postpaid and Wi-Fi plans.
India remains a key market in the global streaming race due to its large mobile-first audience. Apple's integration with Prime Video comes at a time when competition is intensifying, especially after Reliance and Disney's joint venture JioStar launched its unified platform JioHotstar, which merged JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar.
