Dor Play Set to Launch in India Next Week: Will This New All-in-One OTT App Challenge Tata Play Binge?
Last year in November, Streambox Media launched Dor, India's first subscription-based television service. Powered by Dor TV OS, it allows users to access 24 OTT apps.
Now, the company is gearing up to release the Dor Play all-in-one entertainment app which will come with 20+ OTT subscriptions and 300+ TV channels. It is confirmed to be introduced on February 6. Let's check all the details here.

Dor Play All-in-one Entertainment App Explained
Users can access Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, Sony Liv, Lionsgate Play, Sun Nxt, Aha, Discovery+, Fancode, Shemaroo, ETV Win and more OTT apps by subscribing to one service.
The app will bring a feature named universal search, enabling users to explore content across various OTT platforms using a single search bar. This innovation aims to simplify the user's search process, making it easier to find desired content without having to switch between different apps. Alongside, it will incorporate a 'Trending Now' function, designed to keep users in the loop with the most popular and trending content across a range of platforms, ensuring they stay connected with mainstream viewing habits.
There will be another feature named 'filters for you' to enhance the personalization of the viewer's experience. This will allow for a tailored search based on moods, genres, languages, and even favourite actors, ensuring that users can easily navigate through the vast sea of content to find exactly what suits their current preferences.
Will This Challenge Tata Play Binge?
The upcoming Dor Play app is expected to compete with the Tata Play Binge, which offers a bundled subscription for various OTT platforms. It comes with a starting price of Rs 199 and allows users to enjoy up to 30+ premium OTT apps under one subscription.
However, the pricing details of Dor Play haven't been revealed. It's expected to come out in the coming days or on the same day as its launch.
