From Layout to Photo Stickers: WhatsApp Status Gets Four New Features

Meta-owned WhatsApp has announced four new features for the Status, which provides users new ways to express themselves through collaging, music and stickers. Here's everything you should know about these new features.

Layout: Now, WhatsApp will let you collage photos directly on the app. You can turn up to six of your pictures into a collage, using editing tools to lay them out exactly how you want.

More with Music: The instant messaging app will allow you to post a song directly as your Status, letting others know what you're listening to. You can also create a music sticker, which allows you to overlay your favourite track on top of a photo or selfie.

Photo Stickers: This feature lets you turn any photo into a custom sticker that you can use in your Status. Once selected, you can crop, resize, and edit the photo to fit your style.

Add Yours: You can choose a picture and use the "Add Yours" sticker, which is an interactive twist to WhatsApp Status. It allows you to post a prompt, like "Show your pet" or "Favourite travel moment", and invite your contacts to respond with their own photo or video.

When they reply, their response also includes the same "Add Yours" prompt, encouraging others to join in. It creates a chain of engagement, where users can explore each other's responses and participate in a shared experience.

Meta says in its blog, these features will be rolling out soon and will be available to everyone on WhatsApp in the coming months.
