Google to combine its payment services under Google Pay
Google pay is already available at services like Airbnb, Fandango, HungryHouse and Dice.

Gone are the days when we had to worry about cash running out and had to stand in long queues outside ATMs and banks. In the era of digital currency, a smartphone and an active internet connection can get all our jobs done easily.

Google, the tech giant recently announced that it will combine its primary payment option under Google Pay. Now the Android Pay and Google wallet will feature under one brand, which is Google Pay.
Google mentioned that Google pay is already available at services such as Fandango, HungryHouse, Airbnb and Dice. This move made by Google to keep all its payment services under umbrella is much appreciated.
Nothing has changed for the Google services users and they will be able to see the universal Google Pay Logo while purchasing content from Play Store.
Google said that in future it will bring these features to Tez users in India however they didn't clarify what company meant by this statement. It is being reported that Tez might also be branded as Google pay. Google Tez is not same as the Google Wallet and Android Pay as it uses UPI payment system designed in India.
We are still waiting for the unified services that Google is planning for the masses.
GoogleTez is a UPI-backed payment application which allows a secure user transaction, be it offline or online. Google worked with the National Payments Corporation of India(NPCI) and developed the app according to the Unified Payment Ineterface(UPI) standard.
Google Tez can be downloaded from playstore and the app size is a mere 8MB.
Similar to other money transaction apps Google Tez can transfer money to other accounts using account number and IFSC code. The mobile app is currently supporting 55 banks in India including ICICI Bank, State Bank of India and HDFC Bank
