Google I/O 2025: Gmail Now Helps You Reply and Schedule Faster
At Google's annual developer conference, I/O 2025, the company showed off some exciting new ways it's using AI to make everyday work easier.
Gmail is now getting major upgrades with the help of Gemini. From smarter replies to easier scheduling and inbox cleanup, Gemini is here to help you save time and stay on top of your email.

Gmail's New Upgrades
Smarter Replies
Replying to emails can take a lot of time, especially when you need to check old messages or files to get the right information. Now, personalised smart replies in Gmail will help you draft emails that match your specific context and your tone.
Gemini will look at your past emails and Google Drive and provide response suggestions with specific details that are more relevant and on point, eliminating the need to dig through your inbox and files yourself.
Gemini also learns how you usually write - whether formal or friendly - so your replies sound just like you. These new smart replies will be available later this year.
Manage and Clean Inbox
Managing your inbox can be hard when emails keep piling up. Gemini can now help you delete or archive emails you don't need. For example, just tell, "Delete all of my unread emails from The Groomed Paw from last year," and Gemini will do it for you with one click. This feature will be available next quarter.
Easy Scheduling
Setting up meetings with people outside your company can take lots of back-and-forth emails. Gmail will now help you schedule meetings faster. If it notices you're trying to plan something, Gemini will give you a quick option to share your booking link - right from your inbox. This makes it easier for others to choose a time, saving everyone time and effort. This will also roll out next quarter.
