Google earlier announced that it could introduce the "Focus Mode" feature for Android devices. It seems the search giant was serious about the rollout. After a series of beta tests, the company is finally launching the new feature. With focus mode, you can stop your handset from being distracted by the unwanted notifications at inappropriate times. And, you can reuse the apps and notifications by turning Focus mode off.

Google Launches

Google has brought up some new features to the Focus mode. These added features are based on feedback that Google received during beta testing. These include scheduling automatic activation of Focus mode during some days and time-intervals across the week. And, there is an option to take a break, with this feature you can briefly access some apps without completely turning the Focus mode off. Henceforth, you can quickly share some urgent photos or videos with others, while the mode is on.

The introduction of Focus mode was due to smartphone addiction which has become a major concern. According to a study, one among four children along with other young users is heavily addicted to mobile phones. Not only Google, but even Apple has introduced several new features to make users get rid of this problematic addiction. And one such feature is "Screen Time".

Both Google and Apple introduced dashboards, allowing iPhone and Android users to cross-check on how long they have been using their smartphones. It must be noted that Focus mode is only available to phones which are shipped with Android 9 and 10 OS.

If we talk about Google's more new features, we have seen how the company modified its Voice Assistant. These modifications include booking a ride with the help of voice command, a new design that makes the Assistant more user-friendly, more accessing of tools. And, personalized Android interface with which you can get information related to weather reports, news, videos, and more.
