Google Maps were tested on Android 1.0, iOS 6, iOS 1 platforms and the application worked fine on all the platforms.
Google the tech giant is known to develop apps that are full of features and easily available for users from all around the globe. Now as per some reports from Beebom, HuanTruong who is a computer enthusiast tested out the Google Maps on a number of devices which are still using the older version of android OS. The results are surprisingly positive as the Google Map performed well even on the old android version.

The reports further states that, Truong tested out the Google Maps on Android 1.0, iOS 6, iOS 1 and the application worked fine on all the platforms. Google Maps were then tested on Java platform and surprisingly the application had no hiccup while searching for the locations.
The Google map was also tested on a PalmOS device from 2007 and the application performed well even on that OS . PalmOS is a discontinued mobile operating system which was initially developed by Palm, Inc., for personal digital assistants in 1996. Palm OS was designed for ease of use with a touchscreen-based graphical user interface.
This is a commendable piece of work from Google and this old version support of its application is really appreciable. Recently the Google Maps has received new content in the form of a full Map of Delhi Metro. The change in the Maps is relatively small and Google is pointing out the update to users as "New Content" label.
The map of the Delhi Metro is not much interactive, however users can zoom in and zoom out to read the name of stations in a clear and better way. This will help the users to know the names of the stations on the various Metro-Lines which are operated in the Delhi.
Google also had announced the Android Oreo Go Edition in recent events. The Android Oreo Go is a light version operating system which is designed to run smoothly on low-end smartphones which have less than 1GB of RAM.
