Google Updates Play Store UI, Calender with Improved Navigation and Illustrations

Search engine giant Google, has changed the UI layout of Play Store with improved navigation and other features. This new UI comes with Apps&Games and Entertainment replacing the six categories which is Apps, Games, Movies & TV, Music, Books, and Newsstand.

Now, under the Apps & Games section, you will be able to access sub-sections like Top Charts, Games, Categories, Family and more, while the Entertainment section will have Movies & TV, Music, Books and Newsstand.

These latest changes were previewed by Googler Kirill Grouchnikov, couple of days ago and the update has started rolling out to the users. Further, it supports elastic scrolling and horizontal scrolling (right to left) also.

On the other hand, Google has included new illustrations to calender adding multiple languages to it. Now users can access over a dozen of illustrations like weddings, haircuts, swimming practice and Halloween parties.

Moreover, the company has added around 30 languages including Dutch, Finnish, Catalan, Korean, etc. In order to encourage the talent, the company has asked to send their illustrations with hashtag #makethemost attached.
