Google Wallet Appears to be Working in India on Android Smartphones: Report

Google Wallet, a comprehensive application designed to centralize passes, store rewards, payment, and travel cards, is showing signs of availability in India. This development marks a notable shift, as historically, Google's offerings, including Google Wallet, have not been supported in India.

Recent observations indicate that some users across the subcontinent can now set up and add their payment details and passes into the app, suggesting a soft launch or testing phase might be underway.

Google Wallet vs Google Pay?

The sporadic functionality of Google Wallet in India suggests Google may be preparing for an official launch.
