Google Wallet vs Google Pay?

It is crucial to distinguish Google Wallet from Google Pay, also known as GPay in India, which operates on the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) system. Google Wallet offers a broader range of services, including the storage of various passes and rewards, which extends beyond the functionalities of Google Pay.

Interestingly, this is not the inaugural appearance of Google Wallet in India. The app was briefly operational a few months prior, only to become inaccessible again. Despite these fluctuations, some users, including myself, have continuously utilized Google Wallet for over three months, experiencing uninterrupted service for payments and the addition of passes and tickets.
