Google working to fix issues with Android Assistant on Android Wear

Google Assistant is giving a tough time to Android Wear users. It was reported that some users are facing multiple issues with the company's virtual assistant on their smart wearables. As per reports, after a recent update to the OS, Google Assistant is no longer able to perform some basic tasks such as setting a timer, sending text messages, management of smart home devices, etc.

Some users also posted on Google forums that the voice recognition has stopped working on their smartwatches.

Google quickly came to rescue after a series of bugs were reported. One of Google's community managers posted, "We identified some issues in Google Assistant for Android Wear that we are working to fix. We will be gathering bug reports from an email that you will receive, let us know."

It was just yesterday that Google confirmed that several of the above mentioned issues with Android Assistant have been addressed. Google again posted an update on the forum that reads, "We have made a server-side change which should resolve several issues with Wear voice actions. If you are still seeing such issues, please update the "Google" app to version 7.8.

Here are the steps:

Press the power button and choose Play Store from the launcher.

Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap the My Apps icon (grid icon at left).

An update should be available for the "Google" app; tap to install.

If this doesn't resolve your issue, please list voice commands that are still failing and send us a bug report from your watch."

Users can also check their e-mail box for the above mentioned instructions.

However, it seems that the issues are still persistent. Google has now confirmed in a post that the issues aren't fixed yet. The team has identified some issues that are preventing to have the issue fixed. Google says that the team will inform users via e-mail once the issues are fully fixed for everyone.
