Instagram Now Lets You Edit Comments: Here’s How to Do It
Instagram has introduced a new feature that lets users edit their comments after posting. The update addresses a common issue many users face while engaging on the platform, especially when small typos slip through.
With this change, you no longer have to delete and repost a comment just to fix a mistake.

You Get A 15-Minute Window To Edit Comments
The new feature allows users to edit their comments within 15 minutes of posting them. During this window, you can go back and correct any errors or tweak your message as needed.
There’s no limit on how many times you can edit a comment within that timeframe, so you’re not restricted to a single correction.
Only Text Can Be Edited
Instagram has placed a few boundaries on how the feature works. Editing is limited to the text portion of a comment.
If your comment includes both text and a photo, only the text can be changed. The attached image remains unchanged.
Edited Comments Will Be Marked
Once a comment is edited, Instagram will indicate that the comment has been modified. However, the platform won’t show a version history.
That means others can see that a change was made, but they won’t be able to view what was edited or how the comment looked earlier.
A Small But Useful Update
This is a relatively small addition, but it solves a practical problem. For creators and regular users alike, it makes interactions feel a bit less rigid.
Instead of deleting a comment and breaking the flow of a conversation, you now have a short window to fix it and move on.
