Instagram Will Now Allow Users to Comment on Posts With Gifs
Instagram has announced that users will now be able to use GIFs in the comments section. This feature was previously available to select users, and is now being gradually rolled out to all Instagram users.
With this new feature, users will be able to express themselves better via animated images in the form of GIFs. The Meta-owned social media platform has partnered with GIPHY to bring GIFs to Instagram's comments section.

How to Add GIF Comments on Instagram
Instagram is already an image-forward platform, and now with the new GIF comments feature, we can expect Instagram's comment section to be overrun by GIFs. This feature was previously available only to select users in the testing phase. Now, all users across the globe will be able to comment with GIFs.
The new feature sources GIFs through the GIPHY library. Instagram users can include GIFs in the comments by simply tapping on the GIF button located at the right-hand side of the comment text box.

New Editing Features for Instagram Reels
Instagram is also getting new editing tools for reels to get your creative juices flowing. These new tools will be gradually rolled out globally in the coming weeks.
Instagram is offering a new "Split" option that allows users to chop a reel into two clips. The "Speed" feature lets users speed up or slow down their clips. There's also a new "Replace" function which allows users to switch between clips without changing the order, timing, or other details in the reel.
Instagram Gifts
Instagram is also introducing a new gifting feature in reels, which will allow users to send virtual gifts to support their favorite content creators. Fans can buy themed virtual gifts within the Instagram app by purchasing stars.
Although a similar feature is available on Facebook, you can't use your Facebook stars to send virtual gifts on Instagram. The gifts feature for Instagram has been in development since last November and will see a wider rollout in the next few weeks.
