Latest Telegram Update Brings Custom Wallpapers and Shareable Folders to App

Telegram has added a few new features for Android and iOS users in its latest update. The app gets new options such as custom wallpapers, chat folder links, improved bots, better interfaces, and more.

Chat Folders in One Link

With the latest update, you will now be able to share chat folders via a single link. You can invite your friends to multiple group chats and news channels via the link, and they will be able to automatically join all the chats by simply adding the folder.

You can organize your chat folders by naming them. Adding multiple invite links in a single chat folder allows access to multiple chats. Do note that you can only add group chats if you have the admin rights to add people.

Additionally, if you decide to add more chats and update the link after sharing the folder, invited members will get a prompt that new chats are available. Creating a folder is straightforward, just head to Chat Folders under Settings, pick the chats you want and add them to the folder.

Custom Wallpapers, Better Bots

You will be able to customize wallpapers on Telegram, following which, your chatting partner will be notified to add the same wallpaper. To add a custom wallpaper, tap the three dots at the top-right corner of the messaging window. Select "Set Wallpaper" to choose any design.

Telegram bots are also getting a few tweaks with the latest update. The bots can now be launched via web apps within any chat. To summon the bot, you can either mention the bot's username or access it through a direct link in the chat.

Web apps also support multiplayer and collaboration options. Bots on Telegram will also be able to use collectible usernames, even for links that don't end in -bot.

Improved UI

Telegram's "Send When Online" option is getting more intuitive to use. To see someone's last seen time, simply hold the Send button. The app also allows you to create groups without immediately adding new members, giving you time to set up permissions and other admin duties.

You can also scroll through the attachment menu at super-fast speeds. Additionally, users with the latest iPhones will be able to view a new animation which merges into the dynamic island when scrolling on info pages and profiles.
