Meet Doppl: Google’s New AI App That Lets You Virtually Try On Any Outfit
Google has introduced Doppl, an innovative app from Google Labs designed to help users visualise how outfits might look on them. This experimental app offers a virtual try-on feature, allowing users to see any outfit on a digital, animated version of themselves. It's a fun and easy way to explore personal style.
In May, Google Shopping unveiled a feature enabling users to virtually try billions of clothing items by simply uploading a photo. Building on this, Doppl introduces additional experimental features. Users can now use photos or screenshots to "try on" outfits whenever they feel inspired.

AI-Generated Videos Enhance Experience
Doppl enhances the experience by creating AI-generated videos from static images. This feature transforms still pictures into dynamic visuals, providing a better sense of how an outfit might feel when worn. Users just need to upload an outfit picture, and Doppl handles the rest.
The app allows users to experiment with any look they fancy. Whether it's an outfit spotted on a friend, at a thrift shop, or on social media, users can upload its photo into Doppl and imagine how it might suit them. Additionally, they can save or share their favourite looks with friends or followers.
Availability and Limitations
Doppl is now accessible on both iOS and Android devices in the U.S. However, Google notes that the app is still in its early stages. As such, it may not always provide accurate representations of fit, appearance, or clothing details.
This new tool aims to make fashion exploration more interactive and engaging for users. By offering these features, Google continues to push the boundaries of virtual shopping experiences.
