Microsoft Launcher App for Android Now Features Copilot AI Integration: All You Need to Know
Microsoft has integrated Copilot AI into its Launcher app for Android in the newest beta update, released on May 27. This app offers an alternative home screen experience with a customizable interface, personalized feed, document preview, and sticky notes.
The Copilot AI features are available in the Microsoft Launcher app version 6.240402.2.1139391. Currently, this is a beta build, only accessible to users enrolled in the beta program on the Google Play Store.

Copilot AI on Microsoft Launcher
The app's changelog highlights read, "We're thrilled to enhance your Microsoft Launcher experience with the integration of Copilot right into your feed. This update brings your everyday AI companion closer to you".
With this update, users can access Copilot with a simple swipe. This feature assists with content creation and provides answers to search queries. Copilot allows users to generate images and text through textual prompts.
Those with a Copilot Pro subscription will experience "more responsive and swift interaction." After the update, swiping right from the home screen opens up Glance, News, and now Copilot too. Copilot AI features can be accessed via the icon on the search bar, formerly occupied by Bing search.
Improving the User Experience
Users accessing Copilot's features through the beta version of the Microsoft Launcher app have reported that text and image generation, as well as search query responses, function as expected. The main difference lies in how users access these features, either through the standalone app or directly via the launcher.
The integration of Copilot AI into the Microsoft Launcher app is expected to improve user experience. This update aims to provide a seamless way to use AI capabilities directly from the home screen.
While this update is currently in beta, it represents a significant step in integrating AI capabilities into everyday applications. This could potentially pave the way for more advanced features in future updates.
