Microsoft To Roll Out Cortana Public Beta for iOS Beta Testers
Microsoft's Cortana started with the Windows Mobile platforms. A few days ago, the company has launched the Android version of its personal assistant - Cortana. Now, Microsoft will launch the Cortana app for iOS devices as is gearing up to users to test the version of Cortana for iOS.
Microsoft's personal assistant Cortana is developed on the lines of Apple's Siri and Google Now. Though it functions differently from both Google Now and Siri. Cortana reminds users of daily tasks, schedule events, maintain check lists.

Microsoft is now calling all interested users to sign up for a limited beta program. In order to sign up, users will have to be part of the Microsoft Windows Insider program and complete a survey. The beta program for iOS devices will be initially available only in US and China. Though, it will become available in several regions where Cortana and Windows are available.
Microsoft says it will begin sending out the invites and download links to the users who have rolled in for the program in the coming weeks. However the testing will be available only to a limited number of users.
It must be noted that Cortana for iOS will lack full functionality unlike Cortana for Windows or Android. Cortana for iOS is currently being test run, so users can get all features once Microsoft will release updates progressively.
