Mobile-based app to inform people all about customs rules

A mobile-based application has been launched to inform people about all Indian customs rules including those related to import of pets and goods.

The application--Customs Traveler Guide-India--is currently available on Google store and it will be soon made accessible on other operating systems.

"The main reason behind developing such an application was inaccessibility of customs-related information to common people with ease. This app will provide all information to people on customs rules and regulations," said Nihit Mohan Johari, a software professional, who has developed it.

The application, developed in easy-to-understand format, gives in detail information about customs rules for Indians and foreigners. "People can seek answers to their query related to customs provisions by email in case they find some information is missing," Johari said. The application also has duty calculator.
