Netflix Is Down Complain Subscribers in India, US, and UK Right Before Platform’s Second-Ever Live Event
Netflix is currently suffering from a considerably large outage. Thousands of users across the US, UK, and India have complained about the streaming platform on social media.
Streaming platform Netflix acknowledged that it was facing some issues and assured users that it was working on addressing the same. The outage is a significant setback for Netflix. The streaming giant had scheduled its second-ever live event, which would be streamed to its subscribers via the platform.

More Than 11,000 Subscribers Unable To Stream Content From Netflix
More than 11,000 users, primarily from the US, reported issues while streaming content from Netflix, indicated Downdetector, an online tool for reporting tech outages. The outage primarily affected users in the US. However, subscribers in other countries, such as the UK and India, also reported problems with Netflix's services.
Netflix acknowledged the problem and promised to fix the issue. However, thousands of subscribers waiting for the live event were left disappointed as Netflix failed to deliver.
The outage delayed the live stream of the highly anticipated event "Love Is Blind: The Live Reunion". The show was hosted by Vanessa and Nick Lachey. Netflix was to stream the show live from Los Angeles, USA starting at 5 PM Pacific (5:30AM IST).
Netflix subscribers could join a waiting room for the show 10 minutes before the start time. However, Netflix sputtered to a halt just before the event began. Several subscribers were left waiting for the show to start streaming even after an hour of delay.
Netflix Claims Services Have Resumed, But Users Still Facing Difficulties
Netflix claims it started the live-streaming of the event approximately two hours later at 6:16PM Pacific (6:46 AM IST). The platform issued an apology on Twitter at 9:30PM EST (7:00 AM IST), saying that the show was being filmed at the time. However, a few Netflix users reported difficulties accessing the content.
Needless to say, Netflix dropping the ball on the live event may benefit HBO as several subscribers are expected to switch over to the latter's service to watch their popular show, Succession.
Netflix hasn't shared the reasons for the disruption of its services. The platform's servers may likely have buckled under the sudden rise in demand.
