While Pokémon GO has been recently released in India, Reliance Jio is opening a dedicated channel for the players of the game on its Jio Chat app. Zee News reports that the Jio Chat app will host a separate Pokemon GO channel that will be dedicated to social aspects of the popular game.
Now, by using the Jio Chat app, Pokémon GO players in India can organize Pokewalks and other activities. Players can also use the chatting app to find other players in their area and at the same time join other players to walk with them while searching for Pokémons. Players can even join together to take down Pokémon gyms.
Additionally, activities such as Magikarp farming excursions and identifying Pokémon nests can also be organized.
Well, it looks like Jio will be attracting many Pokémon GO players as they can download the Jio Chat app for free. The chat will be facilitating quick access to find other players who want to join the Pokémon quest.
Furthermore, as the game requires a constant internet connection and Wi-Fi is limited, users in India would be able to make use of Reliance Jio's connectivity to fuel their Pokémon GO play time.
All in all, it looks like a clever marketing campaign spurred by Reliance Jio.
