Sennheiser Enhances Smart Control App With Auracast And Find Headphones Feature

Sennheiser has rolled out updates to their Smart Control App, enhancing functionality for the MOMENTUM and ACCENTUM true wireless earbuds.

The latest version introduces the Auracast assistant, which simplifies access to "one-to-many" broadcasting technology, enabling users to share music or enjoy museum exhibits in their preferred language.

Enhanced Connectivity with Auracast

The 2024 MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 and ACCENTUM True Wireless earbuds are now compatible with Auracast. A firmware update will enable this Bluetooth LE Audio-based feature.

This update also allows users to manage Auracast connections from devices that don't natively support it. For example, an iPhone user with MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 earbuds can connect to an Auracast stream from a television at an airport.

New "Find Headphones" Feature

The update includes a "Find headphones" feature for the ACCENTUM True Wireless, MOMENTUM Sport, and MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 models. Users can track their earbuds' last location using their smartphone and activate an audible signal to locate them nearby. This feature is particularly useful for frequent travelers, remote workers, and athletes.

Availability and Compatibility

The Auracast assistant and "Find headphones" features are available in Smart Control App version 4.9.0 and higher. These features can be accessed on MOMENTUM True Wireless 4, with Auracast support coming soon to ACCENTUM True Wireless via a firmware update. The app is available for download on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android).
