Snapchat has rolled out a new feature called "Map Explore"

Snapchat which is an image sharing app has recently updated its app and has added a new feature which the company has named "Map Explore". The newly added feature is said to make it simple for the users to watch their friends update on Snap Map along with making it easier for the users to find an event.

Snapchat further revealed that a user's Snap Map will automatically show the travel and location update of a user's friend when the latter opts to share their location.
The "Map Explore" feature will also allow a user to see the Explore updates for Story snaps, which is said to include breaking news and other events from all around the world

As per some reports from the IANS Snapcht Quoted in a statement that "We made 'Map Explore' because we noticed that when you open the Map, you aren't always sure where to start your journey." The statement further added that "Unless you swiped outside your city, you might never see some of the amazing events our community is capturing."

In order to access the "Map Explore" feature, a user needs to first pinch out the camera screen when the app is launched. Further, a user also needs to tap on new updates tab which is placed at the bottom of the screen followed by swiping it horizontally to move through the updates from the friends of the user to the other content of Snap Map.

If a user wants to delete his/her status or switch on the Ghost Mode (Ghost mode hides a user's location) he/she needs to select the settings icon which is placed at the top right hand of the map.
