Soon You Can Send Higher Quality Good Morning Videos on WhatsApp to Annoy Your Friends

Recently, WhatsApp introduced the option to send high-definition (HD) photos for Android and iOS beta testers. This was a significant upgrade as WhatsApp typically compresses image quality to save data and storage. Now, WhatsApp is taking it a step further by testing the capability to send HD videos as well, currently available in beta for select Android users.

The HD Video Sending Feature

Similar to sending HD photos, this new feature includes an "HD" button in the app's drawing editor, as reported by WABetaInfo. When a user wants to send a video, they will notice a new HD button at the top of the message box. Tapping on this button reveals two video quality options: Standard and HD (High Definition).

WhatsApp to Introduce Higher-Quality Video Sharing Option

By default, the video quality setting is always "Standard quality." This means that whenever a user wants to share a new video with better quality, they must manually select the high-quality option each time before sending it.

Furthermore, when a user sends a video using the high-quality option, it will be labeled as a high-quality video in the conversation. Similar to high-quality photos, a new tag automatically appears in the message bubble, indicating that the video has been shared using this feature.

The Benefits of HD Video Sending

WhatsApp typically compresses videos to standard quality from their original quality. With the introduction of HD video sending, users can now share videos in higher quality, although slightly compressed. While it may not be the original quality, it still offers significantly better video quality compared to the standard compression.

This feature is especially useful for users who want to share videos with more clarity and detail. Whether it's capturing precious moments or sharing important content, the ability to send HD videos enhances the overall experience on WhatsApp.

Accessing the HD Video Sending Feature

To access this new feature, users need to update to the latest version of WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.14.10. If you are part of the WhatsApp beta program, simply update the app and keep an eye out for this feature. It is important to note that the HD video-sending capability is currently in the testing phase and is only available for select Android beta users. However, it is likely that WhatsApp will roll out this feature to all users in the near future.
