Spotify Revamps Home Screen With TikTok Like Vertical Feed
Spotify, the popular music and podcast streaming service, has announced a revamped user interface for Android and iOS users. The Finnish streaming giant unveiled the new design at its Stream On event, which includes a vertical home feed similar to TikTok and Instagram.
Spotify promises the new redesign is easier to discover new music and other content on the app. The vertical home feed will include previews for music, podcasts, audiobooks, and shows.

What's New in Spotify?
Spotify detailed the redesign via a blog post. The company said the updated interface adds a personalized, curated preview of songs, podcasts, and audiobooks on the home feed.
Users will be able to save tracks using a single tap. The home screen has been divided into three feeds - Music, Podcasts, and Audiobooks. All three feeds offer personalized recommendations based on user activity.
The feed allows quick access to favorites at the top with a preview of the episode or chapter with real-time transcriptions. The previews can last for up to five minutes.
After previewing a piece of content, users can click the Plus icon to save it to 'Your Episodes' or 'Your Library'. They can also be downloaded or queued by tapping the three dots at the bottom of the preview.
When Will the Redesigned Home Feed be Available?
At the Stream On event, Spotify also announced its users in the US and Canada will soon have access to the new AI-powered DJ feature, which will smartly mix different tracks to create a vibe.
Furthermore, Spotify plans to add animated song canvases to audio previews in the home feed.
The redesigned TikTok-like vertical discovery feed is available for all Spotify Premium and Free customers globally on iOS and Android. The Music and Podcast previews are available in all regions Spotify is available in, but audiobook previews are only available in the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
