Telegram Founder Advises Users To Delete WhatsApp Amidst Privacy Concerns
Parel Durov, the founder for online instant messaging and voice calling app Telegram has suggested users delete the WhatsApp account as soon as possible if they don't want to get surveillance by Facebook-owned WhatsApp. According to him, the online messaging app is using a Trojan horse which is capable of spying into users non-WhatsApp content including images, videos, contacts and more.

"Unless you are cool with all of your photos and messages becoming public one day, you should delete WhatsApp from your phone," Durov said on his official Telegram channel.
Currently, WhatsApp has a global user base of 1.6 billion users while Telegram has only 200 million globally. According to Durov after this acquisition, it is very obvious that WhatApp will change the policies.
"Facebook has been part of surveillance programs long before it acquired WhatsApp. It is naive to think the company would change its policies after the acquisition, which has been made even more obvious by the WhatsApp founder's admission regarding the sale of WhatsApp to Facebook: 'I sold my users' privacy'," Gadgets360 quoted Telegram founder.
Telegram is also subjected to the same security breaches and hacks as WhatsApp. However, its size is not as huge as WhatsApp and its very obvious that Durov might be targetting its commercial rival.
Earlier this week, WhatsApp recommended all the users to update the latest version. The update was rolled out to fix the security flaw which was occurred recently.
The latest security flaw in the instant messaging app was allowing hackers to attack users by sending an MP4 File. The vulnerability was affecting both iOS and Android users.
"The vulnerability is classified as 'Critical' severity that affected an unknown code block of the component MP4 File Handler in WhatsApp," According to gbhackers.com report.
