These 7 Apps Supports 3D Touch On the Apple iPhone 6S

Apple unveiled the next generation iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus, which the company says it as the best ever iPhone it has ever developed. Both iPhone are good looking and powerful device and comes with tons of improvements over its predecessor.

It was highly rumored for a quite long time, that Apple will include the Force Touch to its next iPhone. And it was kind of surprising that Apple basically added the so-called Force Touch to the iPhone, but called it as 3D Touch.

The 3D Touch works similarly to the rumored Force Touch, allowing to press with different levels of force, which sensed through display to execute different commands. The 3D Touch features two major functions: peek and pop. The peek function allows user to look something briefly, while the pop creates a new menu.

Apple has also demonstrated how 3D Touch can be used by developers at the launch event. For example, a game developer can implement the 3D Touch in their game, allowing users to press down harder on the display to fire a rocket, while pressing down lightly will simply fire a machine gun.

Email

The 3D Touch helps you to get through the email in your inbox more quickly and efficiently. To Peek at a message, just press it lightly. The content of the email will appear on top of your inbox. If its a short message and a Peek is all you need, simply stop pressing and you are back in your inbox. Well if you want more than a Peek, press the screen more deeply to Pop into the message for a full view.

Web browser

If someone sends you a link to a website, you can Peek at it without leaving the scree you are on. You just need to press the link lightly and the top of the page appears just as it would in Safari. Stop pressing and you are back in your message. If you want to open the full page in Safari, press the link harder to Pop into it.

Gallery

If you are taking photos and want to see the shots you have already taken, you can get a Peek simply by pressing lightly on the thumbnail image. The thumbnail image appears along with a scrubber to help you navigate the photos you have taken. Just continue pressing and swipe left to review your photos. Let go to continue taking photos. Well, if you decide you want to open a photo, just press a little deeper to Pop into it, and you can share, edit, favorite or delete.

Maps

If someone sends you location, you can Peek at it on a map without leaving the screen you are on. Press lightly on the link and the location will appear on top of the screen. Stop pressing and you will return to the screen where you found the address. If you decide to explore the area in more details, then press harder to pop into a full map.

Keyboard

Press the keyboard within apps such as Notes, Mail, and Messages and your keyboard will turn into a trackpad. Now, you can use a cursor to easily select and manipulate text with precision.

Multi-Task Between Apps

Press the left side of the Home screen to switch to multitasking view. Now, swipe until you find the app you are looking for. Then tap to open it.

Notes

3D Touch works with the Notes apps to let you record your ideas with more creativity. When you are drawing or jotting down a thought, you can press lightly for finer lines or more deeply for thicker ones.
